Emails are being sent out as WordPress.com
-
I noticed today that when I post a new entry, the emails that are being sent out to my followers are being sent as “WordPress.com” and not as The Secret Ingredient Is – I’m wondering why and if there is a way I can change it back? Thanks!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I realized it’s because I created my own header for my page and no longer have a site title — is there any way I can still send out email notifications with The Secret Ingredient Is without a site title or will it remain as WordPress.com

Hi Michelle,
I think you’re talking about the portion of the New Post emails highlighted in this screenshot?:
When no site title is selected, our email delivery system attempts to fill that in with your site URL. I imagine in your case it was displaying “thesecretingredientisdotcom.wordpress.com”?
We don’t allow customization of these emails, however it appears that you’ve already setup the workaround I would recommend. Which is to continue having a Site Title in your Settings > General, but then not display the “Header Text” in your Custom Header options.
Let me know if that setup doesn’t meet your needs, or if you had other questions about emails.
Best,
