Emails from WordPress conveying interest in my posts unwanted.
-
Would you please ask Linda Benedict (WordPress no-reply emailer) to explain to me what her role is in stalking responses to my blog posts? Is she helping me or what? I am confused by receiving WordPress profiles of persons whose interest in my post is obscure.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi @martinknox, is this just someone who is “liking” your posts? If you’ll give us a little more context we may be able to help.

Dear WordPress,
Thank you for your email. I don’t understand how to use the template above.
I have been receiving several emails per day from:
Linda Benedict <(email visible only to moderators and staff)>
Subjects include the following:
1. Daily digest for (user xyz) on (date)
2. [New comment] (user xyz)
3. [Subscribe] Confirmed subscription to posts on (User xyz)
4. Your WordPress.com Support Question: (question)
5. (Martin Knox] (user xyz) is now following your blog
6. [Martin Knox) (user xyz) liked you post ‘Post (recent post)”
7. [Martin Knox) (user xyz) liked you post ‘Post (posted months ago)”
8. [New post] “title”
I do know what to make of all this.
My WordPress Meetup Group suggested that Linda Benedict was a scammer.
Is she part of WordPress? What is her role?
Thank you,
Martin Knox -
Hi there,
Those are Daily Digest emails you’re receiving from the blogs you are subscribed to. Linda Benedict is most likely the author of one of those blogs.
