emails that I am now subscribed to my own blog

    Hi David,

That didn’t actually take too long! With that information I was able to research your account and it looks like somehow you’ve been unsubscribing to your own blog and then re-subscribing to it soon after over and over again.

There are a number of ways in which you can do so, the simplest and easiest way in which this can happen is that you can have a bad bookmark saved for your own site. You may want to check your bookmarks and make sure that it JUST says “davidjrogersftw.com” with nothing after it (no code). If there is code, it may be to toggle following.

The other way, is that the follow button when logged in is right next to your stats section in your admin bar. It says “Following” if you are currently following your site or “Follow” if you aren’t. If you go to click on the little stats bar and miss, you can toggle your current setting from following to not and vice versa.

There are a couple of other ways in which you could end up unsubscribing yourself from your blog, but those are the most likely culprits.

Thanks fr the info. I deleted and re-entered my bookmark. Also, I will be careful to watch that I don’t click the follow button. It might have happened when using my phone to check my stats rather than my computer because it’s harder to be exact on what’s getting clicked on the smaller screen. So I will be aware of not doing that, and see if the problem is solved.

If not, I will get back to you for other possibilities.

    Thanks for looking into this.

My pleasure. Sorry it took so long to get a response to you.
