    I’ve been receiving emails (may be scams) from WordPress (supposedly) stating ‘New User Registration’. Each one has URL ending oddly, eg. ‘.city’, ‘.loan’, ‘.express’, etc. My site is https://aafishburn.com and host is Hostpapa. Can you tell me, please, what these are or confirm they are scam emails. I have not clicked on any but earlier I did type in the email address to Outlook asking for information but received no answer.

    We can’t help you as your site isn’t running on the wordpress.com platform but uses the open source wordpress.org.

    As long you don’t see new users in your site’s dashboard, there is nothing wrong and you can ignore that spam.

    But it would be a good idea to harden security on your site by choosing a strong password, login throught your wordpress.com account – https://wordpress.com/support/settings/#security – and activating 2FA – https://en.support.wordpress.com/security/two-step-authentication/. You can do this by installing the Jetpack plugin.
