Emails to followers

My emails to Followers sometimes reflect my headers like this: >STRONG on either side of the Header. How do I prevent this?
WP.com: Yes
Correct account: YesThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I see where the problem is. It only appears in the emails to followers. If you press the header it takes you to my website where the header appears with no errors
-
Can you please ask them what email program they’re using? Some email programs don’t render HTML very well.

Hi there,
Can you provide the URL of the posts that had these header issues? Since it is an intermittent issue, I want to see if there is a common trend among the posts that are having these issues.
-
The problem is happening on all the emails that go to my subscribers. One even wrote to say that I obviously don’t know how to use WP properly.
I have never changed the way I use WP, only recently has this problem occurred, so I suspect something has changed your side.
I would appreciate an urgent solution.

Hi there,
Do you happen to have a screenshot of the Header formatting issue in the emails? If you do, please add it to your media library or upload it to a screenshot-sharing program like snipboard.io:

Once we take a look, we’ll be happy to try to pinpoint the issue in hopes of providing a fix.
Thanks!

Unfortunately not. This is what appears on my Followers email notifications:

CELEBRATE CAP CLASSIQUE AND THE ARRIVAL OF SPRING -
Do you have an email address that I can send you the problem? It seems to eliminate the errors when I use the Forum

Hello there,
If you upload the screenshot via the media library we should be able to see it.
It seems to eliminate the errors when I use the Forum
…This is interesting.. Are you using any browser extensions? (Adblockers or anything of that nature?)

The email to my followers looks like this:
Celebrate Cap Classique Day and the arrival of SpringI have changed nothing my side, the problem is prevalent in all the emails to my followers

Good Morning –
I took a quick look at the media library and did not see the screen shot uploaded there. We need that visual since the formatting isn’t coming through on the forums as expected. Please write back to us when that has been added to the media library so we can take a look.
Reading back through this thread, it sounds to me, like the email that goes out when you publish a new post, is where the problem occurs. And that, some followers are seeing a formatting error in that email that pertains to the title of the post.
As my colleague mentioned, there are definitely some email providers that do not handle html formatting well. There is also the possibility that an update to the email system has changed how it renders the html formatting. The problem may not be in our control, and it may be isolated to a certain email provider.
The plan forward is going to depend on where the issue is happening. If the issue is happening here or if it is getting lost in translation in a certain email provider.
My suggestion is to reply to the folks who reached out to you and ask them if they would mind sharing which email provider they are using, and also if they can take a screen shot of the problem. This will help us diagnose the issue on our end, or we will be able to tell them it’s something that needs addressed with the email provider.

Hello there,
Many thanks for providing that screenshot.
I can see that the HTML is being added to the titles, because that’s what’s in the titles.
It’s generally not really advisable to add this HTML into the title in any case. Are you copying and pasting this into the post title from another source?
-
Yes I am. Do you suggest I type the words of the title myself? Rather than cut and oaste
