Emails to Invite followers notgoing through

    When I am inviting friends and family by typing in their email addresses they are not getting that email. Then if they go on to try and follow it gives them a message that a sub has already been established. How can I fix this?

    Can you please provide a few of the email addresses you invited to your blog? Then I can check on this for you.

    Add each email address on its own line, and the forum will automatically hide them but I’ll be able to see them.

    I have found a way around it. On my phone you can see whom you invite
    Not on my computer though?!
    I just deleted th and led them to the site and had them follow that way.

  • Ah, okay. On a computer you need to go to the WP-Admin dashboard to see pending invitations, but I’m glad to hear you got it figured out.

    Hi, I’m glad you responded, I thought I had fixed the problem but my husbands email will still not work. (email visible only to moderators and staff) I tried finding the dashboard you mention in this reply and cannot figure out a way to see the pending invitations. Can you elaborate?

    (It’s not possible in the new interface yet, but should be in future)

    It does appear that we’ve sent out several emails to your husband’s email address during the past two days. If he didn’t receive them they might be getting blocked by a spam filter or other automatic filtering in his email account. If his email is provided by Google Apps, ask him to specifically check the Social and Updates tabs of the inbox if he has them active.

    we are having the same issue about 50% of the invites to new users are not getting received. Does not matter which domain yahoo, Comcast, Verizon all seem to be blocked. Any thoughts?

    That site is not hosted on WordPress.com, and is not connected via the Jetpack plugin, so we have nothing to do with subscription emails on that site. If you’re using a subscription plugin to have users sign up you’ll need to contact the author/developer of that plugin for help. We’re only able to help with sites hosted on WordPress.com.
