Embed a Badge / Image
-
Hi,
I am trying to embed a badge in the blog in the side bar using Text widget. The code is available here: http://www.chefatlarge.in/cal-badge-code/
I have tried all three methods mentioned, however only the link appears in the blog and not the image. I want the image to appear. Please advice on how can I do this.
Thank you.The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

It might be possible on a self-hosted WordPress.org site. You may add a “modlook” tag to the sidebar of this topic to call for staff attention if you’d like to ask about that possibility.

Hi there,
There is no way to use the badge given by that site on any WordPress.com. It will work on self-hosted sites, but I’d put a lot of thought into it if I were you on whether it’s worth paying for hosting and learning to use a completely different version of WordPress just to add a badge to your site.
I’d rather suggest you contact that site’s administrators and ask them to create a plain HTML badge that will work with WordPress.com.
You can try adding only this to your text widget:
<a href="http://gosocial.in/cal/medianet/www/delivery/ck.php?n=ab72b074&cb=1122334" target="_blank"><img src="http://gosocial.in/cal/medianet/www/delivery/avw.php?zoneid=5&cb=1122334&n=ab72b074" border="0" alt="" /></a>That will have the badge display on your site and link back to chefatlarge.in, but as it doesn’t include the iframe link it might not work exactly as it’s supposed to.

Ok, makes sense. I have tried adding the code without the iFrame tag but the badge does not show up.

I can see the badge on your site, as shown here:

That is the image that’s embedded by that code.

Do you have any ad-blocker add-ons installed in your browser? Try disabling those.
Also check if you can see the badge if you start your browser in incognito mode, if you clear the cache and cookies, and if you try a different browser.
