Embed a pdf

  I want to embed an actual PDF on one or more of my pages, not just the URL to the pdf, but and actual view of the pdf.
  We are a volunteer not-for-profit org so I’m using the free WordPress.com hosting option. Is there a way to do this easily? It seems there are plugins that do this but they don’t seem to be installed on the free WordPress.com installation.

  scribd is one way – I have used it on my site – no extra charge
