embed a researcher code in my site

    Hello, I want to embed ResearcherID code in my site. I tried to paste this code in text widget but when I pasted it and saved, the script was deleted and the badge does not seem on my site. It seems like a link. How can I fix it?

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi –

    WordPress.com is a shared environment and because of that there are limits on what type of code you can use on the site. Do you mind posting the original researcherID code here so I can take a look?

    I mean that I have ResearcherID badge script to past it on my sidebar. Thus my ResearcherID badge can be seen on my site. But when I paste it in text widget and save it, script is deleted. When I look my site, it is looked as a text pasting in the widget not badge.
    Thanks your interest..

  • Good Morning –

    It sounds like there is a type of script on this badge which is not supported on WordPress.com. Can you paste the full script that they are giving you in your reply and I’ll verify that.

    Hi

    Yes, you’r right. This is the script => <span id=’badgeCont845907′ style=’width:126px’><script src=’http://labs.researcherid.com/mashlets?el=badgeCont845907&mashlet=badge&showTitle=false&className=a&rid=H-7050-2017′></script></span>

    Thank you again..

  • Thank you for posting. That code is not going to work. More about the ‘why’ behind this can be found in this guide:

    You could create an image or text widget and link to researcher id if it is available on another website?
