embed code for recent posts?

    I would like to know if I can embed a list of my recent posts on a different website? I like the way the widget looks on our blog and would love to be able to embed something similar on our school website hosted by google. I can embed using their tools but I don’t know what the url is for our recent posts. Thank you for any help you can provide.

    Currently I’ve embedded our entire blog. I’m trying to streamline with a lists of posts instead.

    Hi! You might be trying to embed an RSS feed. Here’s how to go about that:
    https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/blocks/rss-block/

    It doesn’t have as many customization options, but it should work well. Want to give that a go?

    Hello. Thank you for that info but it doesn’t appear to work when I try to use the embed option on a site other than wordpress. I want to embed an url that shows my recent posts on our website. I tried modifying based on the article you sent using this code
    https://elysianschool.wordpress.com/blog/feed show_summary=false
    but it only showed our blog with an error code stating it couldn’t find what I was looking for.

    Do you know if there is a way to embed on a website other than wordpress?

    Hi there!

    We aren’t really familiar with how posts from a WordPress.com site can be embedded into non-WordPress sites. I guess it would partly depend on what type of website you’re referring to (like what language it was written in or what website builder was used) and would likely require help from a developer if an RSS feed puller is not readily available.

    I did some searching on Google and landed on this post from 2011. You’ll notice it talks about adding custom PHP code to the site (which is not allowed on free WordPress.com sites).

    So I’d suggest reaching out to a developer or the service provider for the non-WordPress site where you want to embed the recent posts. Again, pulling the RSS feed from your site is likely going to be the easiest method for displaying the recent posts on your other site, but if there’s no built-in method on your website to fetch an RSS feed, you’ll need to look for alternatives. I’m afraid that’s outside of our scope of support on this forum.
