Embed code – Video
-
Hi there,
For an advertorial on my blog I was asked to embed a code into my my article. Unfortunately, when adding the code/link of the video, nothing seems to appear.
I have put the blogpost online for you to see that there’s only a link and no video…
This is the code: <iframe width=”640″ height=”386″ src=”http://player-services.goviral-content.com/video/20129″ frameborder=”0″ allowfullscreen></iframe>
The deadline of this post was today so hopefully there’s someone who can help me!
Thanks
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Edit: I just posted the youtube link, so the video you see is not from the original embed code.
But in order to get payed for this advertorial I really need the embed code to work…

You can embed videos from the list of services in this support page: https://en.support.wordpress.com/videos/
http://player-services.goviral-content.com/video/20129 is not one of them. So it can’t be embedded. Is it possible to get this video uploaded to one of the video services listed in the above support guide? It would make it very easy for you to embed.
Alternatively, if you Premium plan subscription, you can download the video, upload it to your blog and display it on your blog using VideoPress.
iframes are not allowed on WordPress.com due to security reasons. This is why you see nothing when you paste that code.

Thanks for the support.
This is so weird, because other Dutch and Belgian bloggers don’t seem to have this problem. The company I work with told me this was the first time they ever heard of this problem and that most of the bloggers work with WordPress…
Unfortunately I can’t download the video.

May be other bloggers have self-hosted WordPress blogs? You are on WordPress.com. Although both are WordPresses they are quite different.
Is it possible to link other bloggers posts so I can take a look and see if I am able to figure how they are able to embed.
-
I have found examples of bloggers who use the same embed code… but it seems I can’t see their videos either…
http://www.beautyetc.be/clinique-faceforward/
So maybe it’s not a wordpress problem?

Those two sites are self-hosted WordPress.org software based sites. It may be possible to embed the videos on them.
But on WordPress.com sites like ours, videos from only the supported video services can be embedded and iframes are not allowed.

In case you haven’t got a chance to know the difference between WordPress.com and WordPress.org (self-hosted WordPress site), I encourage you to check it here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

Thanks for your help! So, because I don’t have wordpress.org, I can’t see their videos either?
-
It doesn’t look like they embedded any videos; which is why we are not able to see them. What you have doesn’t matter because it is their site.
What you have, WordPress.com or self-hosted WordPress.org, decides which videos you can embed in your site.
On WordPress.com only videos listed in this support guide can be embedded: https://en.support.wordpress.com/videos/
WordPress.org sites may be able to embed wider variety of videos.
