embed custom map

  Hi,

  I would like to embed the following map:

  http://www2.winlink.org:8081/maps/positionReports.aspx

  Unfortunately, it does not show properly. Is there a way to embed it?

  The only interactive maps we can embed are Google Maps. http://en.support.wordpress.com/google-maps/

  The best workaround I can think of (as I get the idea a custom Google map won’t work for you) is to insert a screenshot of your map and then adding a link to the live map from the static image.

  Thanks for the answer.

  Maybe this works: assuming I have a file with all the locations. Is there a way to automatically generate a custom Google map? Just using wordpress.com resources?

  I’ve never tried creating a custom Google Map, so I have no idea how, nor if you’d be able to add all the information you want to. The support docs at Google Maps will probably be more helpful regarding that. But if you can create it there you should be able to embed it on your blog following the instructions in the support doc above.
