Embed goes to top, not cursor

Ever since last week or so, whenever I embed an image or video it is inserted at the top of the page instead of where the cursor is.

Hi there. Can you please let us know which editor you’re using. Are you posting using the New Post button in the Reader, or are you using the classic editor at Posts ->Add New in the dashboard? I’m assuming you’re embedding media by using the Add Media button in the editor?
This could also be a browser issue. Make sure you are using one of the browsers and versions listed here: http://browsehappy.com/
Additionally, try clearing your browser cache and cookies and also check whether you have the same problem using a different browser. http://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/

I use New->Page from the dropdown menu in the upper left corner. I believe it is the classic editor. Media is being embedded by the Add Media button.
It appears that the issue is restricted to my home browser, it does not occur on my work browser.
Unfortunately, my computer is now old enough (~5 years) that it does not support the latest versions of Firefox and does not support Google Chrome at all. I don’t know why this happened all of a sudden, but I guess I will have to live with it. I can cut-and-paste the image to the appropriate location.

If your are running IE9 which dates back to 2011 then you need to either upgrade to IE11 or to download another browser version http://browsehappy.com
