    @squarerootz: You’re welcome – and why on earth did you think an apology was needed? “Harsh or abrupt”? I never hinted at something like that or felt you were so. (Frankly, the only uneasiness I felt was when I thought you ignored my question re. timing and bit rate, as I thought you weren’t helping us pinpoint the problem; but then I realized it was a correct answer and it was me who was on the wrong trail.) And actually I like abrupt (when it means concise instead of rude), so no need to worry at all!

    Thank you for kindly offering the AW upload, too. Of course you couldn’t know I’m on a Mac, not a PC. But I don’t think I need that application anyway – I’m not interested in heavily compressed music files. (Now that’s a bit abrupt, isn’t it? Be sure it’s in the first sense, not the second!)
