embed music to blog

hello people, I’m new here and I need help.
I want to make my blog mostly about music, so it would be great to learn how to embed a music player into a new blog post, instead of just inserting the link which takes you to youtube for example.
I checked online for tutorials how to do it, but they all run via plugins.
I’m sure using a plugin would work just fine, the problem is just, that they expect me to have a “plugin”-function on my settings toolbar, which I don’t.
or am I just stupid and looking for the wrong things?
