Embed other sites beyond youtube, vimeo…

  Work on a site of videos here in Brazil called VIDEOLOG (www.videolog.tv – share quality vídeos in Brazil), and due to users making application, must solve the problem of users here at WordPress. They can not add your videos on wordpress.com. How do I develop something for that, as has the embed youtube, Vimeo … add to the blog, as do the videolog. Example: [videolog video = 383239]

  If you are talking about developing something, best contact support. In the meantime, have you tried using VodPod to embed the videos?

  Already inform users that it can use the VodPod, but users are Brazilians with a very great difficulty in understanding the VodPod, as it is in English. I really need to be developed as everyone else.

  I don’t understand. It is only the blogger that needs to use Vod:Pod for embeds. Not the readers or the users. Besides Google’s translation from English to Portuguese works just fine on Vod:Pod’s pages. Look:

  Our problem is that it is very step for the user, here in Brazil they are not accustomed to doing all this process, and he is really great, you have to be registered in the vodPod that, copy the embed, an open thing, and there will . Log in wordpress, there you see options to add much simpler. What I need is to do the same as the others, for example:

  * Instructions on YouTube [youtube = http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AgEmZ39EtFk%5D

  * Instructions for Google [googlevideo = http://video.google.com/googleplayer.swf?docId=-8459301055248673864%5D

  * Instructions for the DailyMotion [Dailymotion id = 5zYRy1JLhuGlP3BGw]

  In Brazil the Videolog (www.videolog.tv) is very powerful, and I think it would be very nice to have this facility for our 9 million Brazilians who access the videos per month on Videolog. I really want to work with WordPress helping it, and our videos in HD (www.videolog.tv / hd) for users to add on wordpress.com blogs.

  It’s personal, sent emails to the media and I answered no more, just sent a reply saying that it was to put the VodPod, but replied saying what I wrote here in the forum about the need to take the shortcut to add videos as well as YouTube, Vimeo, Metacafe and others.   First of all WordPress.com offers excellent help in it’s Portuguese Forums. Why not try there? Link: http://pt.forums.wordpress.com/

  Scecond: it is not difficult to use Vod:Pod.

  Go to Vod:Pod’s site and open a username. Link: http://vodpod.com/site/register

  Install the button in your browser. Link: http://blog.vodpod.com/2007/09/07/posting-videos-to-wordpresscom-with-the-post-to-wordpress-button/

  Then post the video to your blog.
