Embed Problem

I know WP.com won’t allow certain embeds but surely blogtalkradio can? I know another WP.com based website who had previously embeded from BTR but Ican’t get it. Is their any way around this? The code I want is the following:

    <object classid=”clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000″ codebase=’http://download.adobe.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=9,0,0,0′ width=’210′ height=’105′ name=”226823″ id=”226823″><param name=”movie” value=”http://www.blogtalkradio.com/btrplayer.swf?file=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.blogtalkradio.com%2Fringrustradio%2F2012%2F03%2F20%2Fring-rust-radio%2Fplaylist.xml&autostart=false&bufferlength=5&volume=80&corner=rounded&callback=http://www.blogtalkradio.com/flashplayercallback.aspx” /><param name=”quality” value=”high” /><param name=”wmode” value=”transparent” /><param name=”menu” value=”false” /><param name=”allowScriptAccess” value=”always” /><embed src=”http://www.blogtalkradio.com/btrplayer.swf” flashvars=”file=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.blogtalkradio.com%2Fringrustradio%2F2012%2F03%2F20%2Fring-rust-radio%2fplaylist.xml&autostart=false&shuffle=false&callback=http://www.blogtalkradio.com/FlashPlayerCallback.aspx&width=210&height=105&volume=80&corner=rounded” width=”210″ height=”105″ type=”application/x-shockwave-flash” pluginspage=”http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer” quality=”high” wmode=”transparent” menu=”false” name=”226823″ id=”226823″ allowScriptAccess=”always”></embed></object><div style=”font-size: 10px;text-align: center; width:220px;”> Listen to internet radio with RingRustRadio on Blog Talk Radio</div>

Blogtalkradio is not one of the authorized embeds, but you can use it if you use the Gigya workaround as explained at http://wpbtips.wordpress.com

Hey, thanks for reply. That site is loaded with info, where in lord is the info I need to look for? lol.

Search for it. That’s all I’d do. It has a category for Gigya.

I appreciate your help but have no clue what Gigya means and what exactly I’m looking for.

Go to that blog. There’s a search box in there, put Gigya in the search box. It’s a way of adapting code so that flash from non-approved sites can be embedded here.

Rain is referring to this post:
    http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2010/07/22/gigya-shortcode-3-widgets/

In the case of the code you pasted above, you copy this part of the code only:
    <embed src="ETC ETC ETC"></embed>
    turn it to this:
    [gigya src="ETC ETC ETC" ]
and paste it in the HTML post editor (or in a Text widget, if you want it in your sidebar).

    JustPI

Itried getting the walkaround for this but Cannot find it anywhere –

    <object width=”300″ height=”150″ data=”http://www.talkshoe.com/badges/badgeSm300.swf?domainId=api.talkshoe.com&masterId=82630&colorId=gray” id=”W46e01640976f216c” allowScriptAccess=”always” allowNetworking=”all” pluginspage=”http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer” type=”application/x-shockwave-flash”><param name=”wmode” value=”transparent” /><param name=”movie” value=”http://www.talkshoe.com/badges/badgeSm300.swf?domainId=api.talkshoe.com&masterId=82630&colorId=gray” /><param name=”allowScriptAccess” value=”always” /></object>

This’ll be the last I’ll ever need

    Shortcode:
    [gigya width="300" height="150" src="http://www.talkshoe.com/badges/badgeSm300.swf" flashvars="domainId=api.talkshoe.com&masterId=82630&colorId=gray" allowScriptAccess="always" allowNetworking="all" wmode="transparent" ]
