Embed the code for a form from external source.
-
Hi, I’m having trouble embedding a form from an external source. The code is generated by the software I use for property management and their support says the code is working fine. When I input on my page (HTML) then click ‘Visual’ I see the link there but when I check the published version for the page it doesn’t show up. Does anyone know what could be happening? I appreciate your help. Best, Marina

Hi Marina,
If the form code includes things like embed, iframe, form, input, object, textarea, or JavaScript, then it won’t work. WordPress.com doesn’t allow those for security reasons. More info: https://en.support.wordpress.com/code/ -
Hello, thank you for message and link. It clarifies the situation. The reason why I thought the glitch was on the wordpress end is because, supposedly, the software was generating a ‘wordpress friendly html code’. I will follow up with their support. Again, thank you for the helpful response. .

Hello, based on the response I received from the software company, I have a follow up question:
Looking the WordPress plans, the premium plans offer advanced customization of themes. Do these plans or any other WordPress services would allow me to embed the code?
Or, would hosting on a 3rd party service outside of WordPress allow me to direct access to the theme files for further customization?
Thank you very much, marina
