embed video not working

  Have followed instructions to embed vimeo video into my post but it’s not working. The link to the video which I’ve pasted directly into my post as instruction (on it’s own line, unlinked etc) is appearing in the post as text rather than embedding the video as suggested by the instructions.

  help?

  Please give us the exact URL you are putting in, and are you putting it in the Text or Visual editor?

  This is a long shot, but try http instead of https.
