  Can you embed videos on a free plan?

  It’s just that it gave me a little doubt when saying:
  “You can also embed videos from many video services on your WordPress.com blog for free.” …….meaning?

  (I’m trying to convince a client to use wp.com…….)

  Hi there,

  I believe that sentence was to clarify that we discuss paid options higher up in the article (Premium plan, Business plan, etc.) but there are also free options you can use to embed video, no upgrade required. The list of services below that are all free to embed.

  To state that more clearly, If you are embedding video from another service (Facebook, YouTube, Flickr, etc) that is free, and you do not need an upgrade.

  If you wish to instead upload a video directly to the site so the player does not have any branding like you get with a YouTube video for example, that would require an upgrade. Hope this helps!
