Embed Youtube not working

  Hi Folks,
  Sorry to bother you but I am having trouble embedding a Youtube video again. My post is ‘Something To Cheer You Up’ on News, Views And Nonsense posted today.
  I wished to post a video which appeared OK on the Dashboard and was correctly inserted as follows: [youtube=https://http://www.youtube.com/embed/OOgd9hitEAE?rel=0] but it does not even show up when I go to Preview and does not come up in the blog page either.

  The video was inserted in the way that Rootjosh told me the last time I had trouble.
  I would appreciate any help you can give me. I put up the post anyway but would prefer inclusion of the video.
  If the problem can be solved I will insert it later.

  Hi Roy!

  The problem is that you’re using an “embed” version of a YouTube URL. (Screenshot, just to point out what I mean)

  You probably got that URL from the ‘Embed’ option on youtube. (Example)

  When adding YouTube videos to WordPress.com however, you’ll just need to copy and paste the standard URL (Example)

  And unless your going to add attributes like a specific width or a start time, you don’t even need the brackets or “youtube=”. Just use the regular URL, without a hyperlink.

  Hi Alex,
  Thanks for the help, it seems the link to the video I was using to find it on You Tube gave me the ’embed’ code. I did everything as normal, but as you say, if the code is wrong it won’t work.
  Anyway, I will watch out for that in the future.
