Embedded gifs work when editing, show up only as links when published/previewed

    Hi,

I embedded a few gifs from giphy into my one and only post. The gifs only work as animated oddly enough only when I am in editing mode and click the ‘HTML’ tab, then click back to the ‘visual’ tab. When I preview or visit the page, they only show up as links.

    My page is 150causeway.com

    Thanks!

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi @150causeway,

When you upload your gif to the media and then select it to be put into you post – did you change “size” to “full-size” found in the Attachment Display Settings (found on the right of the screen)? If not, can you change that and then refresh your page to see if it works?

Let me know if you need further assistance!

    Hi @okanagancreativedesigns

No I did not upload the gif to media, I embedded it using a code. On giphy after you create a gif it allows you to copy and paste it into your blog. Here’s an example:

    <iframe src=”https://giphy.com/embed/xUOxf7W1qePsRfQVNe” width=”480″ height=”270″ frameBorder=”0″ class=”giphy-embed” allowFullScreen></iframe><p>via GIPHY</p>

Does it have anything to do with the fact that I’m not a Premium user?
