Embedded HTML shows us in edit mode but not preview or published view

  How can I get this to work? Am I doing something wrong?

  Are you asking about a site hosted on WordPress.com or one hosted with another service? It matters because this forum supports sites hosted on WordPress.com and because the answer is going to be different for the version of WordPress that would be hosted with another service.
