Embedded links in text are not displaying properly

Why have the embedded links stopped displaying properly? I don’t WANT to add links to the sidebar, I want to add links in the text, but suddenly WP has figured out a way to frustrate me seriously. Just give me a way to embed links within the text and I’ll be a happy camper.

Are they advertising links? Are they affiliate links? Neither or those are allowed. Where is a link to a post or page that we can see an example of this in please?

Please give us a link to a post where the links are not showing up, so we can analyze the code. And please reassure us that these are not affiliate links.

No, the links are only to a newspage, and the text in question is still being written. The links to the same page have always come out correctly in the past, but the new format and bells/whistles on WP have me scratching my head.
The same thing happened when I attempted to embed a YouTube video link yesterday. I will check their troubleshooting page. Thank you for the suggestion.
But I’m still baffled by my inability to add an HTML link to a newspage. Are there commonly-used links that are no longer allowed on WP? I don’t not have a deluxe page, I don’t post porn, and I do not have advertising on my page at all, in any case.

We need the actual links, starting with http, and if possible a link to a post where you tried and failed to include the links.
