Embedded Media Player buffers, won't play mp3s

  Hi,
  When I use the Embed Media Player dropdown for my mp3s they won’t play. They just continually say buffering. Can you help, please?

  Do you have the space upgrade so that you are uploading the mp3s to your WordPress.com site or are you linking the files from someplace else?

  What are the URLs of the files in question, starting with http? The number one reason is that the link is “live” when put in the audio player. The number two reason is that the link is not correct.

  Thanks for your help. I’ve checked previous versions of the media player on my site and they are all working fine. The difference seems to be in the coding that the Add Media dropdown menu is supplying––it’s different from the instances of the players that are still working.

  This code works:

  [audio:http://www.lewesvoiceworks.org/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/Drinking-Catches-1.mp3|titles=Purcell Catch No. 1]

  But not the one that the Add Media dropdown menu is supplying:

  [audio mp3="http://www.lewesvoiceworks.org/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/Drinking-Catches-1.mp3"][/audio]

  All my mp3 files are hosted on my WordPress site. When I recode the new mp3s to match the first code they play fine. Why is the dropdown menu in Add Media incorrect?
