Embedded media works in blog edit mode, but stop working in preview mode

    Hi all,

I’m trying to embed a media in my blog post. The media can be seen in the post editor. However once I updated the post, and move to preview mode, the media has been replaced by a hyperlink. I’m wondering is the problem caused by my theme, or my code? Or does WordPress only allow certain embedded media (youtube, facebook)? I would appreciate any help thanks!

    The code is attached below:
    <iframe src=’https://spinzam.com/shot/embed/?idx=7495′ width=’640′ height=’640′ frameborder=’0′></iframe>

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I’m having the exact same problem. I’ve tried a number of methods to embed audio and all of them have failed within wordpress.com instances. Interesting enough, they all work in a plain .html file locally. It seems like wordpress.com is stripping functionality from manually entered html on posts as well as pages. I would love to see an explanation of these restrictions. I’ve seen a number of people complain about similar issues on the forums.

    TO wordpress.com STAFF:
I’ve tried to find a method of contacting someone directly, but support appears to be a “walled garden” for paying customers. That’s fine, but I am trying to help someone learn to develop websites. I suggested WordPress and naturally he found this site. The person he’s putting the website together for HAS paid for a premium account. From what I’ve seen so far I am likely to recommend that he requests a full refund.

The interface provided by wordpress.com is striped of nearly all of the functions that I recognize as being “wordpress”. There seems to be nearly no customization available beyond what is offered for a (top tier) fee. WordPress itself is an open-source project, what you have created here is very much not open. I’ve found solutions to our problems that would have worked on a “real” WordPress installation. Since those solutions (editing theme files) are intentionally DISABLED by you, it would be nice if direct support were available for your proprietary software.

From what I’ve seen, this does not appear to be a system that encourages learning whatsoever. Instead it is a dumbed down interface designed exclusively for non coders and encourages them to stay in that way. Might as well rename it FacePress.com
