Embedding
-
Hi,
I’m trying to embed my Twitter feed, a google map and a calendar on my website. Everyone else can do it with theirs but, mine says ‘sorry cannot embed this’.Is it possible there’s a glitch with my website? It’s not laptop as I’ve tried on various computers. Can anyone advise how I can get this fixed. It’s for an assignment and needs to include all of the above (and more) and I can’t start all over again.
Thanks

Hi Cait, to embed a timeline, use this:
https://wordpress.com/support/widgets/twitter-timeline-widget/Could you send a link to the page you tried to embed a calendar in? We’ll check it out and point you in the right direction for support.
Please note too, these forums are for the sites hosted and managed here at WordPress.com. For help with a site hosted somewhere else, you’ll need to use the forums for self-managed WordPress installations instead.

Hi,
The link to my website is https://hiddenholidays4you.wordpress.com
I’ve managed to add Twitter in this way – although it will only go in the footer, there’s no option to put it anywhere else? I can’t put it in like a normal block?
Thanks for your help!

Yes, you can also add it to a post or page but remember that you’ll only be able to embed a single tweet, not the whole Twitter timeline. Here you can find detailed instructions:
https://wordpress.com/support/twitter/twitter-embeds/
If you still see the error, what’s the address of the tweet you’re trying to embed? We’ll have a look.
Map and calendar are independent of that, here’s how you can add each of those to your site:
