  I have created a Powtoon. I have successfully published it and have made them public to view. When I insert the embed code into Custom HTML, it does not display on the browser. Can anyone help me find out what I could be doing wrong? Does the free version of WordPress allow embedding? Thank you.

  Hi there,

  We allow embedding, but only from a limited number of approved services, and only from services that support the oEmbed protocol where you embed content by just pasting a link in the editor.

  If the embed code you’re trying to use contains any iframe or script tags, it can only be used on our Business Plan which uses a different hosting infrastructure. Those types of HTML is not allowed on standard WordPress.com sites for security reasons:
