Hi there!
We have a guide on how to import from Squarespace: https://wordpress.com/support/import/import-from-squarespace/. Bear in mind that this is applicable for the sites hosted with WordPress.com.
In case you have further questions please let us know and share your WordPress.com site address. -
Ok, so I copied the info from square space and I am trying to added on the page below but it does now allow me to paste, it says it has to be a file. can you help me figure this out? I need square space to connect with this page. https://montessoriandmoreonline.com/one-on-one-tutoring-reading-writing-and-math-ongoing/

Hi there,
We can’t help directly because we don’t host montesoriandmoreonline.com on our WordPress.com managed hosting. As a result, we can’t take a closer look at your site.
To clarify, we are a fully managed WordPress provider. We use a custom server environment that is optimized for WordPress and provides integrated caching, server-level performance improvements, security, automatic updates to core software, robust backups, and in-house support from our WordPress.com Happiness Engineers. To offer this we use a customized version of WordPress (different from what you use at Bluehost, for example) which is optimized for our infrastructure and offers the best performance possible.
Because of these differences, the steps you see in https://wordpress.com/support/import/import-from-squarespace/ apply only to sites hosted on WordPress.com since we offer that functionality as “built-in” on our platform. The ability to import from Squarespace is not included by default in the version of WordPress that Bluehost uses though.
The good news is that help is available here at the open-source WordPress forums: https://wordpress.org/support/forum/how-to-and-troubleshooting/
The folks in that forum are more familiar with these kinds of issues and are in the best position to suggest a workflow for importing your site. Thanks!

So why did th last person ask of that info honestly everything you said does not really make much since to me because I did create the site. It so upsetting because I am left to try and figure all this out.

Hi again,
I think the person did not know until you shared the address of your site in your most recent reply. On our end we show your WordPress.com site as https://montessoriaca.wordpress.com/ and for that site you are able to import from Squarespace without issue by following our instructions.
We don’t have a direct connection to Bluehost (we are both providers of WordPress sites, but we are separate companies) so we are not in control of the tools they pre-install on your site from that end. Our instructions for importing may work on the Bluehost site, but if it doesn’t we have no way to troubleshoot since we can’t see your site in our support tools.
Ok, so I copied the info from square space and I am trying to added on the page below but it does now allow me to paste, it says it has to be a file.
That is typically correct. To import content you first need to create an export file (on Squarespace) and upload it to your computer. Once you have done that, when you are in the importer in your WordPress site dashboard you can upload the export file when prompted and that will allow the import to progress. We cover that process here and it should work for you on your Bluehost site as well: https://wordpress.com/support/import/import-from-squarespace/#step-two-download-your-squarespace-export-file

Ok, after i create the export file from square space and copy it. How do i upload to the computer if i just copied it. I have done the steps twice and when to the picture below i can’t paste it. Thanks for your help, I really need to figure this out..

Hi there!
That seems like a theme issue. It’d be best to contact theme support for help with that. I see you’re using the Divi theme on your site. You can check how to contact Divi support here: https://www.elegantthemes.com/contact/
Alternatively, you can post on the WordPress.org support forum, which is more suitable for sites using WordPress.org. We can help with WordPress.com sites in this forum. We can’t help further in this instance since your site is not hosted by us, and it uses WordPress.org with a third-party theme.
