Embedding a Buzzsprout audio player

I use Buzzsprout as my podcast host, and they have script/code that would allow me to embed an audio player onto my WordPress site. Apparently, WordPress.com either blocks that from happening, at least with the plan that I have. Do I need to upgrade to a business plan or higher to make this happen, or is it simply impossible to embed a Buzzsprout player under any WP.com plan?

I understand there’s a Buzzsprout widget that would work on a WP.org plan, but I’m specifically asking about WP.com. Thank you for your help on this.

    WP.com: Yes
    Jetpack: No
    Correct account: Yes
