Hi Happiness People – ( NOTE: this is NOT about Google Analytics)
I need to put some magic thing into my Home page so that Google will notice me. Warning: I dont know an HTML from a Css ! I know nothing about “all that”. So in Dummy terms, please tell me exactly what to do.
I DO know how to get to Customize, where I uploaded my (totally adorable) Header – maybe that’s where to start with this? I dunno’.
Here’s what Google said: (NOTE: this is NOT about google analytics).
” You can make your Google+ page eligible to show up on the right hand side of the Google search page for relevant queries and make your Google+ page more discoverable. Ask your site’s webmaster to add the following line of code to your site’s homepage: Google+

That’s the Magic Potion – but I dont know where to put it – or how. Thanks lots, Anna

    Hey there, Annd!

I need to put some magic thing into my Home page so that Google will notice me.

There are several different ways to integrate Google + into your WordPress.com site. The first is to publicize your posts automatically from WordPress.com to your Google + account.

    Here’s how:
    https://en.support.wordpress.com/publicize

I’m not entirely certain what you mean by Google “noticing” you, but if you are saying that you want Google to index your site so it’s searchable, I recommend using Google’s Webmaster’s Tools. Instructions here:

    https://en.support.wordpress.com/webmaster-tools

The manner in which Google asked you to add code to your site isn’t possible at WordPress.com, but the above method is what we suggest to make the process simpler.

Give those steps a go, and let me know if you have any questions as you put them into action.

Please let us know if you have any other concerns. Thanks much!
