Embedding a photo
-
Anyone and everyone:
Is it possible to embed a regular gif, jpg, png, or any other uploaded photograph into the Write page? I have several photos that are light enough to be written over easily. Thank you in advance. Cheers!

you can’t write over your images. you could do that with photoshop or some similar program, then upload it to your blog.

sulz,
Thanks a ton! I though I’d read everything at “Images” but this one you reference maybe I went to fast or I just plain missed.
Of course I am referring to have a very light photograph that lies beneath the text. I do it in MS Word daily. I am curious to find out why I can create a perfect blog page in Word, however, when I go and transfer it, only the photos NOT written over transfer.
Cheers again,

what you’re referring to is a watermark or background, and there are only 2 ways i can think of for this to work:
1. Write everything in Word with your background image, then create an image file of the whole document (text included). Upload this and place it in the post. None of your text will be searchable, though.
2. Purchase the CSS upgrade and set a background image for your all of your posts. It will be the same image for every post.
HTH :)

Its also worth remembering that HTML and web browsers don’t have the same functionality as applications like MS Word.
You might also want to be careful about using Word as your editor – it will introduce a bunch of unwanted tags into your post. If you’re after a desktop editor you could check out Ecto.
