Embedding a video

  I usually upload a video via: http://en.wordpress.com/post/. I cannot upload a new video to my blog. I have copied the URL and pasted it in my post and all that does is show the URL. In the post. In the past after pasting the URL the video is fetched and displayed. What am I doing wrong?

  Thanks for the quick response however I have my video at vimeo not youtube so the instructions do not work. I cannot figure out what went wrong since I have done the embedding several times before.

  Try the Shortcode. http://en.support.wordpress.com/videos/vimeo/ Also, sometimes things get messed up when you’re posting things inside a blockquote, or there is formatting around the code, like centering.
