Embedding an interactive map into a wordpress blog

  I want to embed a map that will document my journey across Spain. It would be incredible if the map would update itself as I add entries so it shows my progress. I have seen this in a blog in travelpod.com is there any way I can do that simply? I am a novice at this :)
