Hi there
Free sites and sites with a Personal or Premium plan have limits to code that can be added to them, especially if the embed code has javascript or iframes, which can be a common vector for site hacks. That seems to be the case with audio embeds on archive.org, which appear to rely on iframes to function correctly based on what I’ve seen here: https://archive.org/help/audio.php
If you are able to find the audio file URL (the direct link to the audio file as hosted on archive.org) you can copy that URL and use it in the Audio Block and that may embed it however. You can choose the “Insert from URL” option and add the audio that way. https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/blocks/audio-block/#add-audio-to-the-block
Please note however that if the audio is “stream only” on archive.org that method will not work. The iframe embed code also will not work in that block so you will need the audio file URL specifically to use that workaround.
You also have the option to upgrade to the Business Plan, which will give your site it’s own dedicated resources on our managed WordPress hosting. This will allow you to use any embed code you wish, access your site source code via SFTP, and install any plugin or theme “designed for WordPress.”
Hope that helps. Please let us know if you have any more questions.
