embedding from spotify to wordpress

    Its a simple task, i want to embed an album from Spotify to my wordpress, and yet it doesn’t work. In spotify app i go to share > embed album and copy the code I then go into wordpress into the horrible interface go into code editor and paste the code. nothing appears

    so in the new horrible interface I find spotify as an option and it tells me to paste something in, i add the same code, nothing

    how can I simply add spotify content into my blog?

    Can you provide the link you want to embed onto your site? To confirm, you tried to embed the link via the Spotify block?

    Thanks for replying, I was using the embed code from Spotify and then using the code editor in WordPress to try to embed it. Once I used the actual link it worked from the widget.

    Why does the embed option not work?

    If the embed code from Spotify contains <iframe> code then it won’t work:
    https://en.support.wordpress.com/code/

    But the dedicated Spotify embed block is there to make up for that :)
