Embedding from Vimeo without portrait, title or byline

  I’m trying to customise the appearance of my embedded Vimeo videos. I’ve tried pasting the customised embed code provided from Vimeo, and wordpress replaces it with a simplified embed link, no customisation. I’ve read “http://en.support.wordpress.com/videos/vimeo/” and successfully used shortcodes in wordpress to change the dimensions of the video. But I can’t change the colour of the text, or get rid of the title, portrait or byline to get a cleaner thumbnail. Is there a shortcode I can use to further customise these videos, beyond simply changing their dimensions?

  It is not possible to run custom embed codes here on WordPress.com. We don’t allow those due to security and stability concerns.

  This is the tradeoff we make in order to keep the millions of sites we host running at top speed with virtually no downtime.

  Unfortunately, those are the only two parameters that you can set with the shortcode.
