Embedding fyuses (iframe whitelist)
-
Hello, I ‘ve been wondering what is the procedure for getting Fyuse (https://fyu.se) whitelisted on wordpress.com
Fyuse already supports the oEmbed standard eg ( http://fyu.se/oembed?url=http://fyu.se/v/embed/sz23bf1nn7 ) and it’s viewer is optimised for both mobile and desktop but unfortunately right now it is not possible to add an iframe pointing to a fyuse viewer page.
Are there any required steps to prove that fyuse is a legit and safe domain?
Thanks in advance,
Pantelis -
Hi.
You can’t use iframe tag on WordPress.com ((http://pkalogiros.wordpress.com/)If you talking about a non WordPress.com you are in the wrong forum.
This forum is for blogs/sites hosted by WordPress.comWordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and different http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
And you should ask in the WordPress.org forum.

Hello galois,
Thanks a lot for your reply. I was just wondering… I can copy paste for example youtube’s iframe embed code and it works just fine. Is that considered to be something different? Is the whitelist maintained by .org?
Thanks again

YouTube & other embeds are allowed on WordPress.com.
Iframes tags, no: -
Galois, youtube embeds are actually iframe embeds under the hood too.
I am not asking about general iframe support which I understand fully that is not possible due to various and very important security concerns, I am asking whether whitelisting a certain domain (in the same way youtube, vimeo, soundcloud, etc are whitelisted) would be possible, and if yes how.
If it is not possible, that is absolutely fine too. I am just asking :)
Thanks again for your fast and insightful replies! Very much appreciated
