Embedding image from external website

    I’m having trouble getting an image hosted at an external website to show on a blog I manage.

    The image is from the NY Public Library. I’ve copied (via text editor) the NYPL’s required embed code as follows:

    The trouble is that when the post is published, the URL for the image (http://images.nypl.org/?id=1660426&t=r) seems to be being replaced by a different URL (https://i0.wp.com/images.nypl.org/?id=1660426&t=r)

    Can anyone explain why the i0.wp.com is being automatically appended? And more importantly how to ensure the right URL is used?
