Embedding Instagram Photo into Post
-
I’ve gone through the steps of embedding an Instagram photo into my WordPress site, but when I preview the post, I’m only seeing the instagram photo URL, not the actual photo. Any tips?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

When you say you’ve “gone through the steps”, does that mean you followed the steps in this guide? https://en.support.wordpress.com/instagram/instagram-images/

There appears to be a problem with the link. When I just try to view it, I get a “Page Not Found” error.

I don’t know how I could fix it. It’s copied directly from the site’s URL. This isn’t the first time I’ve had an issue trying to embed something into my WordPress site. So frustrating. :/

Aha! That Instagram account is private: https://instagram.com/elbows903/
Since you follow them, you’re able to view their photos. However, I do not follow them, so I get an error message when trying to view a photo and a “This user is private” message when trying to visit their main page. Because that particular Instagram account is private, you’re not able to embed their photos and have them display properly in a post.
I’m assuming the other embeds that haven’t worked for you are also private accounts.
Sorry for so much back-and-forth between us. I’m fairly new to this and hadn’t run across that problem before.
