  Hi

  I wanna embed a live stream to my site using ustreamtv but im confused as to how it works. What would be the code to embed the stream

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  But do I need an account in order to embed the ustream.tv live streaming to my site or is there just a url I can use

  Hi there,

  You will not need to create an account to embed a Ustream.TV video into your WordPress.com site. Instead, you’ll need to know the ID of the video.

  Using the example https://en.support.wordpress.com/videos/ustream-tv/, if you’d want to embed this video from NASA you’d add the following into the WordPress editor [ustream id="40966344"]

  Once you’ve added the ID into the shortcode (for live video you’ll also need to add live="1" and publish/update the post you’ll be good to go.

  I added the Id into the editor and then put live=”1” at the end. But its saying to get the latest flash player to view the content

  Howdy,

  We do embed the latest player from Twitch and Upstream.TV so flash may be required in some cases. Can you link to the page on your site you’re trying to embed so we can take a look?

  Its showing now but before it wasn’t. But the live url id undermeath is not showing. This kinda makes me more confused

  I only want a live streaming to be able to go live on my site. Didn’t know it will be this hard

  It looks like you added the shortcode to your page as

  [ustream id="40966344"] live="1"

  But the live=1 should be inside the brackets, as shown on the support page for this feature:

  [ustream id="40966344" live="1"]

  I just tested this shortcode and viewed the page on my phone, and I’m seeing:

  We’re sorry, but this video is unavailable on this device.

  This message only appears on my phone though (not desktop). It looks like Ustream are choosing to make certain videos unavailable on certain devices — this could be because they are unable to support the video format your browser needs.

  Yes, so this is another instance where the video format isn’t supported by your device/browser — you would need to download the latest Flash Player in order stream.
