Embedding Maps

    I’m looking for assistance in building a personal travel website. I am currently 10 months into cycling around the world and I have GPX tracks of my route taken so far. The only issue is I have all the data inc. pics and video, but I haven’t yet consolidated all the info into a website. 

    It would be a very basic, minimal website which would only show my route, dates, distance cycled and highlights. I’d like it to look professional and not gimmicky. I am thinking maybe a map of the world with my route so far highlighted and visitors can click to see my route etc etc. Can you recommend a good plugin for this? One where I can import GPX files which would also highlight altitude etc etc.

    I would also like space to add info at a later date – maybe another section or space which can be easily combined when needed. 

    Any help with getting started would be appreciated. The route that WordPress is taking me is a little fast. I’d like some interaction before I part with any cash!
