embedding "more" into either a post or pages

  I have published a page and a post with “more” inserted from the Text & the Visual tabs, but it doesn’t work.

  Sorry to know “more” link is not working. Do you mean you are having trouble despite following the instructions in the More Tag support document?

  Please share your blog address so I can see what exactly is happening with your “more” tag.

  FWIW – The “more” tag only works for Posts when viewed on the front/home page or archive pages of a site. You won’t see it in a preview of a Post.

  Thank you for responding. I am new to this, and the gal I hired to help me is busy.
  I want to provide a lot of info under 2 of my tabs – Join My Team & What Is dōTERRA. I suppose I can do that right on the Tab page or as a post. But either way, it doesn’t work.

  @Penny-It is what we needed and the site you mentioned is not hosted on WordPress.com.

  WordPress comes in a couple of flavors: hosted WPcom where we are now and the standalone WP software. For clarity: http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

  For help with self-hosted WP installs you’ll need to head over to http://wordpress.org/support/ If you don’t have a username there, you’ll need to register for one.
