Embedding non-youtube video

  I’ve searched around a bunch in the wordpress.com forums, read all the Lockerz stuff (previously Vopod) and hit dead ends.

  All I want to do is find a way to embed this video into my site.

  http://www.dolectures.com/lectures/why-does-fundraising-always-start-with-an-apology/

  The only embed code provided is:
  <iframe width=”640″ height=”360″ scrolling=”no” frameborder=”0″ src=”http://www.dolectures.com/lectures/why-does-fundraising-always-start-with-an-apology/?layout=embed”></iframe>

  and I know that wordpress.com doesn’t support iframe embed code but I’m not tech savvy enough to know if there’s some workaround. I tried the “Press This” widget but it doesn’t work – just produces a link back to the original page and doesn’t embed the video.

  Yes WordPress.com doesn’t support iframes.
  The only supporting video formats are > http://en.support.wordpress.com/videos/.

  So I know that I can’t do it directly in wordpress, but it used to be you could do it with a service like Vopod. Now that they’ve been acquired by Lockerz I can’t get it to work and it seems from some other threads in the WordPress forums that others are having the same difficulty. Isn’t there some workaround?

  I have the same question! I want to embed this video, or use whatever has replaced Vodpod.

  So what, if anything, has replaced Vodpod? It appears you’re no longer compatible with Lockerz- which didn’t work anyway…
