embedding photographs
-
I am trying to embed a photograph from Francis Frith’s site http://www.francisfrith.com. It shows the <> embed code and provides a code to ‘paste into the source code of your blog.’ I thought it would work like embedding an image from Getty Images, but all I get is lines of code. The same thing happens (or doesn’t) when I try to embed photographs from the Imperial War Museum collection. Can anyone help?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there, it sounds like you’re trying to embed the image into a post. If that is the case you’ll want to paste the code into the “HTML” tab on your post editor instead of the “Visual” tab, which is the default.
The HTML tab will process the code to make the image appear, while the Visual tab just thinks you want to see exactly what you put in there on your post. This might be a little more information than you need at the moment, but it explains where to find the tab using pictures:

Hi there.
The <> embed code from that page includes script tags. And the script tags are not allowed on WordPress.com for security reasons: -
