Embedding second pdf from Cloudup in the same blog post
-
The second file does not get embedded but only a link appears in this blog-post https://ashwanisarda.wordpress.com/2016/08/04/orop-anomaly-maj-pensioners-with-qs-20-yrs-and-lt-col-with-qs-26-years/
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

If it is showing as a link, please check that in the post itself, it is not hyperlinked (appears as as a link). If it is, use the unlink button to remove the hyperlink and that it appears alone on a single line with no other text or code next to it.
Let us know how that goes.

Hi,
The URL is in its own line and does not appear hyperlinked in visual editor.
I have uploaded a screenshot of the editor here https://ashwanisarda.wordpress.com/wordpress-scrn-shot-3/

Thanks for the screen shot. To make absolutely certain that the 2nd CloudUp PDF embed appears on a line of its own, you can flip over to the text editor.
I’ve also tagged this for Staff attention.

Hi again, I checked this out on my test site using your links and both PDFs came through. (temporary screenshot)
Can you try deleting the second document link, resave the post and then drop the Cloudup PDF embed link again (unlinked of course)?

Hi,
Thanks for the suggestion.
As advised, I deleted the cloudup url, updated the blog post, copied and pasted a fresh cloudup url in text editor in its own line and updated again. The document did not get embedded.
A screenshot of the text editor is here https://ashwanisarda.files.wordpress.com/2016/08/wpress-scrnsht2.jpg

OK then. Hopefully Staff will be able to figure out why this isn’t working for you or correct it.

Hi @ashwanisarda, I’m not sure why it wasn’t working. I did notice you use a lot of extra HTML in your posts and thought that may be interfering with our system’s ability to see that the cloudup link was on its own line. So I tried adding an extra blank line, and that seemed to do the trick. If you run into trouble with this again, let us know.

Hi @supernovia, Thank you for resolving the issue.
I had tried adding space, by using the “enter” key, between the cloudup URL and the end of the main body of text, on both visual and html editors but the url would wind up without the extra line added on saving.
Thanks, once again.

No problem. I don’t know what made it work this time either. I tried copying your entire post into a test site (a private one, don’t worry) and fiddling with it and couldn’t even get it to duplicate your issue there, even if I switched the theme to yours. My friends here taught me the word Heisenbug, and I thinks this case is a good example.
Either way, though, I’m glad it’s working now. Cheers!
