  Hi! I’m new in WordPress and I’ve been trying to embed a slideshow from slide.com into one of my posts. I got the code but when I transfer to the post itself and save, all I get is three buttons. Here’s the code I got from slide.com:

  You’re using the wrong code. That is for wordpress.org (self-hosted) blogs. It uses shockwave flash, which is stripped out her for security reasons.

  It’s been a few months since I used a slide.com slideshow but I’m pretty sure the code you need is on the left, all the way at the bottom. Enter slide.com or slideshow into the forum searchbox and you’ll find a thread — or several — about it.

  Hi ellaella,

  thank you for your prompt reply. I did get it this time. The problem I had before was that the WordPress button did not show on the left column – that’s why I went for the other code. After coming in and out of the page a few times, it did appear (together with a few other buttons). The slideshow is posted now. Thank you!

  You’re welcome and I’m glad you got it working. I do recall, when looking for the code myself, thinking they made it as difficult to find as possible without actually hiding it.

  I have been re-loading that page on Slide again and again for the last 20 minutes, clicking repeatedly on the ‘more’ and ‘less’ links, but no list of ‘more’ sites appears. Don’t they want WordPress users to use Slide slideshows on their blogs?

  Any advice anyone?
