Embedding Slide.com

  Hello. Please can someone tell me step by step how I can embed a slide.com slideshow in my blog?? I can’t figure out where to put the code or the [slide id=12345678]. Do I just take the id number or do I keep the [slide id=]? And do I use the insert embedded media option to insert flash?

  You can’t insert flash here at wordpress.com.

  I haven’t done it, but the normal procedure is to keep the [shortcode=URL] format including the words slide id in this case.

  Well, where do you want the slideshow? If you want it in a post, stick the code in a post. In the sidebar, stick it in a text widget. And so on.

  yea but it doesn’t work when I try to stick in a post. it just shows up as text. that’s why i’m wondering HOW i’m supposed to stick it in a post…

  Are you putting it in the code editor or the visual editor? What exact code are you putting in?

  that’s what they give me for wordpress. When I insert that in the visual editor – it just comes up exactly like that.

  I tried using the “insert embedded media” but then I’m not sure what to fill in the forms.. : /

  i just get a yellow box with the “f” (flash symbol) in it…

  t313mika, do you have a wordpress.COM blog? Your username doesn’t link to one. If you’re using wordpress.org software, this system won’t work. If you do have a wordpress.com blog, please give us a link to it so that we can see what might be happening.
