  I’m trying to embed this video https://www.brrmedia.co.uk/broadcasts/58fa26e1ad2a006c3094cce5/berkeley-energia-pre-construction-activities-advancing-at-salamanca

  using the code supplied by the provider below. It does not work so I assume it is not allowed to embed a 3rd party video if it is not on one of the authorised platforms? Can someone confirm please? Many Thanks

  You are correct. That code contains an ‘iframe’ which is one of the code types not allowed on WordPress.com for security reasons: https://en.support.wordpress.com/code/
