embedding video from blip tv
-
Following the instructions in this wordpress support doc, I got the code and embedded a vid (not mine) from blip tv
http://en.support.wordpress.com/videos/bliptv/I put the blip.tv code directly into the text box because inserting it via the “add video” tab on the toolbar did nothing. (this is a first for me, I’ve only used YouTube and vimeo.) my post is still in draft form, but when I look at the preview post, the image is outsized. It is 5″ wide and 4-1/2″ high. And 1/3 of original is cut off the right side.
when I click on the “click to play” everything is fine. it is reduced to a more appropriate size and I can see the entire screen.
Is there a way to fix it? . I prefer the size that a YouTube vid (5″ wide x 2-3/4″ high). I am using mistylook theme which has a 5″ wide columnThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi timethief,
The post is not published yet, it is still in draft form! The post is related to the subject of the video and I still have to write text for it. If the thumbnail (it’s weird calling it that, cause it’s big) can’t be resized in advance of posting, I may omit it or just link to it
it is somewhat boggling with all these different video sites on the web. I’m used to YouTube and vimeo, the two that I’ve used . But this video is only on blip tv

Can also put code here in between backtick ( ` ) characters? We can resize youtubes by changing the height and width attributes. A Volunteer may be able to come up with a way to resize it but they will need the code.

You can copy the video embed code and turn it into a gigya shortcode. Then you can change the dimensions at will.
